Writers Guide for Mothers Day

A unique way of celebrating it without hurting your budget.

Amazing experience I spent whole day with my Mommy Lou to celebrate mothers day in advance.

No stress in booking reservations, finding a parking space and shopping for presents because we did it one day before the actual celebration.

I would like you to journey with me how this event transpired.

For the ones curious how much this activity cost, I included it in every activity.

Lunch was at Happy Home Cafe in F. Torres St. Food was okay we just wanted to try something new in a place called the restaurant row. We ordered 2 cups of rice, gintaan and chicken this lunch cost P350 not bad. The restaurant gives you privacy as they have cute corners with good lighting for the customers to choose.

For our dessert we dropped by at Mt. Mayon street not far from F. Torres St. The sweet place was called Keepsakes. Love the ambiance not too crowded perfect to enjoy my coffee. We ordered Cafe Americano, Capuccino, Blueberry cheesecup and Banana Muffin this cost P325 (Mom paid for this).

We walked going to Gaisano South (JS Gaisano) for shoe shopping. Suprisingly they are on a big sale until May 19. Just our luck. I bought her a Rusty Lopez shoe for P399 only.

Full from the eating and excited from the shopping we went to People’s Park which is just nearby the mall. This was our time to appreciate the nature and watching families enjoying each others company. This park is free of charge.

Before going home we tried the famous sikwati (chocolate drink) in the Pasalubong Center just outside the park. Sikwate is served P50 per cup.

Mom didn’t mind the constant walking because time was well spent with her lovely daughter and that’s me!!!

This Mother’s Day treat was very affordable. But beyond the cost we see Davao in whole new light because we celebrate it in a familiar territory yet more discoveries to unravel.

I rate Happy Home  5 out of 10 , the food is good but the price is not worth it. If I come back to this restaurant probably because I got lost.

I rate Keepsakes Coffeeshop 7 out 10 , i will be coming back not because of the food but because the place is instagrammable.
