PCUP Chair Talks about UDHA Ammendment

Presidential Commission for the Urban Poor Chairman Hernani Panganiban talks about the UDHA Ammendment to the media and their stand about it

One of the a significant topics of the UDHA ammendment states that the barangay captains can be held responsible for the proliferation of the professional squatters.

Panganiban states that this will not be an easy job for PCUP because you can’t just simply remove them from their homes and transfer them, because you also remove them from their community that is why there is need for social preparation.

Meanwhile, PCUP Commissioner Conrado Sillada said that there will be a series of consultation meeting happening in Mindanao for them to also have a dialogue with the urban poor leaders.
