Green Communities Set Up on Development Perspective

CITY OF MATI- Vice Mayor Glenda Rabat Gayta  together with the Green Communities Technical Working Group  had their immersion on what nature farming is all about  in other key cities who adopted it  last August 26-27.

As part of their continuing education , the  two- day activity visited 3 cities from the Beekeeping  Station  in Panabo City, Urban Container Gardening Research Station in Davao City and the Isla Nga Maanyag Program in Island Garden City of Samal.

The travel aimed to have a first hand experience on  what is the future of nature farming through the Urban Container gardening in the City of Mati.

Vice Mayor said that she is happy because of this trip she was able to find and meet  crazy people like her and thinks outside the box on finding simple solutions to unending problems of the people.

Meanwhile,  the trip was made possible through the linkages and partnership of the offices: Presidential Commission for the Urban Poor Mindanao (PCUP), Davao Oriental State College of Science and Technology (DOSCST) Panabo City Housing Office,Pranic Healing Foundation, Pranic Healing Foundation (PHF) Loyola Bee Keeping Farm, Panabo Urban Poor Federation,  Island Garden City of Samal City Housing  Office and General Services Office.
