There are popular places to go when in Cebu such as Temple of Leah, 10,000 Roses and Sirao. This time our family chose what is close to our heart.

In Buddhist countries you may hear the term temple run where in they visit different temples, in the Philippines since majority is Catholic our version is called Bisita Iglesia.

Visiting churches is commonly done during the Holy Week but our family decided to do it on June for practical reasons.
The first Church we visited was the Simala Shrine in Sibonga, Cebu. Stories from the patrons attest that it is miraculous. We went there to pray and ask for guidance in our future plans.

Then we went to Archbishop Teofilo Camomot Shrine in Carcar it was a brief visit since the Shrine is until 5 PM and we arrived 5 mins before it closes.

Lastly we had our Sunday Mass in Basilica del Sto. Nino we drop by at the Magellan’s Cross and the Cathedral nearby.

We even bought ang image of Sto. Nino in one of the local craftsmen at the back of Cathedral.
Finding stillness was made possible in this trip. We are truly grateful for this experience spent with family and friends.
Stories like this will be told generations upon generations.
