Basic Journalism For The Community

The Presidential Commission for the Urban Poor (PCUP) and the Kalamboan sa Barangay Advocacy Program  organized a journalism workshop for the community through the digital platform last April 23, 2019 at the Davao Oriental State College of Science and Technology (DOSCST) RIC Room.

According to PCUP Area Coordinator Marilou A. Tarona said this is in support  to their upcoming home-based livelihood and community-based training.

The activity was participated by the younger generation as early as 10 years old because  children are most likely  well versed when it comes to computer, internet  and especially facebook.

Community leaders, DOSCST Development  Communication  students and youth leaders also joined the training.

Organizers invited Trinity Cable TV  News Anchor  and Executive Producer  Rocky Silverio to be the resource speaker of the training. Silverio was also a former reporter of GMA Davao.
